You decide as downtown fixture Julian Fleisher weaves together songs, stories and his signature devil-may-care repartee during his first solo appearance at Pangea.

A comic potpourri of imitations, anecdotes, monologues, some rumors, a bit of gossip and assorted innuendos. In other words a light bit of fun from the comic also known as the “Tired Old Queen at The Movies.”

Zora Rasmussen returns to Pangea for a monthly residency beginning on September 21. She brings to Pangea a set of smoky vocals with a twist of comedy. Zora’s vocal material will transport you with tunes that span from Nick Drake’s soulful melodies to the Eurythmics and from a Kurt Weill timeless classic to the iconic music of Todd Rundgren

Transvestigation, presented by Tweed as part of their Sunday Night Series at Pangea, is a delicious melange of comedy, songs, and character sketches written and performed by Bianca Leigh. This is the fourth of Miss Leigh’s performances in the popular series, curated by Kevin Maloney. Bianca’s work is a comedic ‘transvestigation’ of life’s challenges, including gender, work, stupidity, and death (not necessarily in that order). Standup, theatre, and cabaret come together in an exploration of life’s absurdities, and ways to laugh in the face of all of them.

The Best of Things is a multimedia performance about the things Iris Rose made, experienced, and discovered in the unique year 2020, when ordinary life suddenly disappeared, leaving behind an abundance of time. Among those discoveries were many amazing songs by The Hollies, Mel Torme, They Might Be Giants, Peggy Lee, Dan Hicks, Phil Ochs, Rasputina, and others. With Christopher Berg on piano.

Lacy Rose returns to Pangea on September 24th with her Starling Quartet and pianist Isaac Hayward for another night of enchanting music! This sumptuous soirée where Baroque meets cabaret will feature original compositions for voice, piano, harmonium and string quartet— including brand new songs and arrangements— as well as surprising covers, and phenomenal musical guests!

Award winning comedian STEVE HAYES presents an auto-biographical evening of stand-up, character monologues and old movie talk taken from his successful one-man show “ Hollywood Reunion” and his popular YouTube series; “STEVE HAYES: Tired Old Queen at the Movies”. It promises to be a frank, irreverent and hysterical evening.

A gay writer from New York travels to Ketchum, Idaho to work on a play set in Sun Valley. His plans and life take a wildly unanticipated turn after he has a chance encounter with an elusive, gay ranch hand, who’s very much in the closet. Blue Cowboy is the frank and sexually explicit story of two men from very different worlds, who both share a profound need to intimately connect to another human being. David Cale’s earlier shows include Harry Clarke, starring Billy Crudup, for which David received the Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Solo Show; his solo musical memoir, We’re Only Alive for A Short Amount of Time, in collaboration with Matthew Dean Marsh, for which he received an Obie Award, an Outer Circle Critics Award, a Drama Desk Award nomination and David and Matthew received a Lucille Lortel Award nomination and a Jeff Award for Best New Musical. David’s newest show, Sandra starring Marjan Neshat is currently running at The Vineyard Theatre. Blue Cowboy was commissioned by the Sun Valley Playwright’s Residency.
